Lady Lions on the Prowl...

The Penn State Women's Volleyball team is on their way to defending their 2007 National Championship.

They breezed through the first two rounds (defeating Long Island and Yale: 3-0 - surprise?) and will play in the Regional Finals this weekend in Rec Hall.

PSU will face Western Michigan (who upset #16 seed, Tulane, in the 2nd round) in the second regional semi-final (6pm, Friday, Dec. 12th). #8 seed Cal takes on #9 seed Illinois in the first match on Friday (3:30pm). The winners meet Saturday at 4.

The only match that is scheduled to be televised is the Regional Final - on ESPNU.

I love V-ball at PSU. It's one of the best overall game atmospheres you'll find anywhere in the county. Plus, it helps that the PSU teams are so freaking good!
