I'll admit it - I did. I switched off the PSU Illinois game last night - the Illini trotted out to an early lead and I (as it would turn out, mistakenly) gave in to the "I don't want to watch this" and "I'm just jinxing them, let's watch Hell's Kitchen" emotions. Every time I flipped back to take a peak at the "carnage" - they were on commercial - so - I missed, until I watched it on ESPN 2 (after the finale of ABDC), one of the best game endings in PSU basketball history.
Talor Battle drove to the basket, and as his shot dropped with .3 seconds on the clock, Penn State won, 64-63. The crowd went crazy and the ESPN basketball guys LOVED it. They see PSU as a "throw away the key" lock for the NCAA tournament -
We'll see, in 9 days or so.
but for now - it really was such a night
